Midwater Battery Storage is a project being developed by Spearmint Energy. Spearmint was launched by a team of American electric utility and energy industry veterans who were committed to bringing the benefits of battery energy storage to communities across the United States.

We develop, build, own, and operate battery storage facilities with a focus on safety and professionalism at every step of the process. As an American company, we are dedicated to working in partnership with landowners, local government, and communities as well as creating good paying jobs and economic growth right here at home.

 

Spearmint currently operates 350 MW/ 700 MWh in ERCOT and has projects under development throughout the United States.

With offices in Minnesota and Florida, Spearmint works to reduce grid volatility, increase system resiliency and help reduce pollution in a responsible and efficient way.
